The temple opens at 5:00 AM everyday with a Palliunarthal at 4:45 AM except on special days like the 8 th day of the annual festival (Makam), Thrikarthika etc. On these days the temple opens at 4:30 AM with Palliunarthal at 4:15 AM. It is believed that the goddess received five poojas during ancient times. Presently there are mainly three poojas for the goddess of Pisharikovil Temple. Ethartha Pooja, Ucha Pooja and Athaza Pooja. In addition to this the goddess is offered Usha nivedyam (in the early hours of morning) and Deeparadhana prior to Athaza Pooja in the evening. There is a pooja offered to the goddess at the Srimoolasthanam once a day prior to Ethartha Pooja in the morning. There are two main poojas for Lord Krishna. One Ucha Pooja (Prior Devi’s Ucha Pooja) and the other Athaza Pooja (Prior to Devi’s Athaza Pooja). The Naga Devatas are given Aayilyam Pooja on the nakshatra of Aayilyam [आश्लेषा (Ashlesha) in Sanskrit] every month. Deeparadhana and a nivedyam is offered to Lord Sri Dharma Shastha at twilight during the 41 days of mandala kalam (November-December). The Upadevas (sub deities) receive nivedyam once a day daily.
